Course Description
 More Details

A child’s academic performance, according to a meta-analysis completed by the National Dropout Prevention Center, can be attributed in equal portions to three primary areas: school factors, student factors, and home/environmental factors.

No matter how hard we work, how much we do, and how well we do it, the factors from our efforts at the school will still stack up to around one-third of what accounts for student performance. We need to extend our reach.

This session examines practical ideas you can use to effectively partner with the parents of your students to support learning. We’ll explore effective communication strategies, outreach to your community, and how to build a collective effort for student achievement. Dr. Mark Wilson facilitates the learning as you move away from a “dealing with” mindset and into a partnership for success.
