Title: Everything the University Forgot to Teach You About at the Preservice Level
Have you ever thought, Why did I spend two years learning how to write lesson plans for the curriculum instead of learning how to deal with the behavioral issues that occur in the classroom?
We will go over the evidence-based practices of behavioral interventions that we feel should have been covered at the university level and this will refresh you when you come back from winter vacation.
*We will cover the five main areas:
1. Maximizing Structure Post,
2. Teach, Review, Monitor, and Reinforce Expectations
3. Actively Engage Students in Meaningful Ways
4. Use a Continuum of Strategies to Acknowledge Appropriate Behavior
5. Use a Continuum of Strategies to Respond to Targeted Behavior
