Please Read ALL Notes Posted Below prior to registering. Class fee is Non-Refundable.
As a minimum, one of the requirements to qualify as a substitute teacher is participation in at least four (4) hours of initial substitute teacher training provided by the employing Georgia LUA/RESA.
As a minimum, one of the requirements to qualify as a substitute teacher is participation in at least four (4) hours of initial substitute teacher training provided by the employing Georgia LUA/RESA.
Upon course completion, participants will recieve a Certificate of Attendance to present when applying for a subtraining position with a district(s) served by NWGa RESA.
Depending upon the Georgia school system, educational requirements may vary. Check the school system(s) website in which you wish to work for district-specific policies, requirements, application process, etc. Most of the districts served by NWGa RESA accept our Certificate of Attendance Click Here to view NWGa RESA Districts
When you register for a class, you agree to these terms. We do not issue refunds for the subtraining classes. You may request to transfer your registration/tuition if you contact our office to reschedule prior to the class start date. One-Time transfers only. Transfers cannot be across fiscal years (ex. July, 2022 - May, 2023 for substitute teacher training classes). When you register for a class, you agree to these terms.
You will receive an email from the instructor the day before the class with instructions on how to join the meeting, so, make sure your profile information is correct. You will be placed in a zoom waiting room, the instructor will begin admitting participants between 8:20 & 8:25. Email mharris@nwgaresa.com if you do not receive the email.
